hi, I’m after a 340 motor with/without ancillaries. I’m in the UK and have a shipping agent in NJ do it would need crafting up and shipping. W.H.Y? Jeff
I do have one that I built for my car and now selling as a roller. It is a 340 with 350 crank and rods. All ARP bolts, ported heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, stainless valves and hardened seats. All oil modifications (if you know what that includes), all high end stuff. If intetested let me know
OK JM: Where you at? How much? I'm a hack mechanic. I have a trio of 66 Le Sabres I'd like to get going. A convert with a 340 that's been sittin' a LONG time, a sedan....the same deal and a coupe that I'm havin' a guy build a 350 and it's a stalled project. I have 3 340 engines kicking around that are....who knows? Thanks, Mitch
Got over $3000 in machine work and parts so best I will di is $3500. Glad to send pictures if interested. All shipping, your cost.
Fozwanger (Jeff) - We just removed a 340 this week from a 67 Wagon. Will need rebuilding but is complete, ST300 available as well. We've already dropped a 350 and OD trans in its place. I've got a HT crate we can drop it in and an LTL carrier that can get it to your East Coast broker. Let me know.
I have a carborated turbo V6. Same bell housing, same mounts, same fly wheel. Complete with turbo and carb $600.
Hi, apologies for not replying but we’ve been having a baby over the weekend. What does the motor need? When you say rebuild do you just mean ring and ends and a gasket set or pistons, review, crank grind etc?
Thank you but it’s not of any use to me as I have a custom injection system that I made for a rover v8 but I want more cubes
No, multipoint, I made/designed it with a chap who builds injection systems for V8 super car Australian racing series. I’ll try and put some pictures up for you
Here it is. We took an Edelbrock manifold and fitted 38 lb injectors in it, all individually controlled so no batch firing or wasted spark, custom made fuel rails and plenum, all sensors hidden along with a 200 shot of nitrous, less flash when the injectors fire, custom distributor as I didn’t want coil on plug or coil packs and trigger wheel, so we gutted the dizzy and added dual gall effect transducers to catch rise and fall of the pulse to fire the ingnition timing, custom made rotor arm to cope with the adv/ret timing when in boost, all run through a motec ecu.
I have 2 340-4 engines complete, both running engines. One out of my racecar has been setting in the dry for sometime. It ran good and drove a month before starting on racecar. Has 98,000 miles. The other is in a 67 Skylark I'm trying to sell with no luck. It is running and can hear it. Think that one is showing 60+k. The one out of the car had carb missing. Will take $300. Live 40 miles south of Nashville TN. One in the car will sell for $500 with AC compressor and HEI.
