I'm selling a "Brand New In The Box" Speedhut 4" Tachometer. This tachometer features a programmable shift light. It also has a port in the back to plug in an optional remote mounted shift light. This tachometer can be custom installed in the OEM gauge cluster of a 1970-1972 Skylark/GS. I included a photo of what it would look like installed in my own car (The tach in the photo is only a picture of the tach which I sized, cut out, and layed over my clock to give a visual of what it would look like installed). I'm asking $165.00 plus shipping. View attachment 407554 View attachment 407555 View attachment 407556 Larry
You need to think about turning that hood tach into an accurate mechanical fuel pressure gauge like I did back in the 90's when competing in the GS Nationals "Pro Street" class, .... It was probably due to all the reading I did in Smokey Yunick's Books. BTW the Beach Bend staff called me out on it ( No externally mounted gauges) but after a meeting with my peers in that class they let me run with it. Larry
That looks really slick Larry. I’ve been wanting to keep a dead stock look but figure out how to get a non factory tach in there. I do have an autometer shift light but havent figured out how to hide that. I’m wondeeing if I can wire a number of small amber LEDs (in the corners?) of that cluster to run off the tach directly or that autometer piece. The whole righthand “pod” of the dash could flash amber.
How does the bezel come off ? does it screw off or is it taken off by small screws on the back ? I cant see it clearly to know.
