Title is just as what happens. Any fuses, solutions or anything to replace? Any direct causes that people know of? Thank you, John

Hate to ask dumb questions, but make sure your electric antenna is all the way up. If it is, double check the antenna connection at the radio. If it still doesn't get any reception, try getting a cheapo antenna from the auto parts store and plug it into the radio.
Try adjusting the bias adjustment control pot. Its on the bottom of the radio. Looks like this- Sometimes just turning it back and forth a little will scrape any rust or corrosion on it and make the radio play. If you want to actually try adjusting it, turn the volume to 50%. Get out our digital volt ohm meter. Put the positive lead on the DS-501 transistor (that the round thing on the right side of the radio in the middle of the big black heat sink). The black lead goes to ground. Adjust the pot so the meter reads as close to 1.5 volts as you can get it
