What is everyone running on their race car? Pros and cons? Also, what manual rack and pinion is everyone running? I gotta a little insight from Gary and Steve but wondered if anyone else was running one?

For a track only car TRZ all the way for a dual purpose setup I really like my Global west arms, but they not light

I have stk arms with global west del-a-lum bushings. just put their bump steer arms on this winter.

the extra range of motion is amazing

I was thinking of running the TRZ arms and manual R&P. I have their anti roll bar and have been pleased with that. Just wondered if anybody had any feedback from other manufacturers.

Global West upper and lower and del-alum bushings, QA1 double adjustable coil overs, front sway bar off. The weight savings is unreal, and the range is over 6” of travel.

Just curious on what you set your front double adjustable shocks at? I'm going from single QA1'S to double and need a good starting point.I have stock arms with del-alum bushings also. Thanks

Absolutely nothing wrong with the TRZ arms for the lightest weight drag arms. Great products. Both of the chassis that I am building for myself will be driven daily, and I wanted something a little beefier, and not so much concerned about weight. My 70 has CPP lowers with Hotchkis uppers, and QA1 single-adjustable coilovers. My 72 has Global West lowers with Hotchkis uppers, and QA1 double-adjustable coilovers.
If you need a complete manual rack kit,I have a complete AutoFab kit for 68-72,for $850.00 shipped.

I ordered the QA1 double coil over shocks for 350 not 455 since I was loosing a lot of weight off the nose with alum heads, intake, headers and manual trans. The 350 are lighter spring rate and with the added weight shaved off the nose perform better than the 455 rated spring and the double adjustable dials in the compression and rebound nicely. I have the springs dialed down quite a bit, or adjusted up if you will.
I suggest weigh your car front, rear and all on to understand what you’re working with before ordering the double adjustable coil overs.

If you were asking what I set the shocks at, I have them set mid way compression and rebound for street driving. Drag racing 16 clicks compression and 0 click rebound in the front, opposite for the rear which are Flaming River double adjustables. With the HR partsnstuff rear bar, both front tires come up equally and rear slicks bite into the pavement but the rear body lifts up with the front... Love it!

Really happy with my SPC adjustable control arms, More adjustability then using shims, and a lot easier to adjust

I've used OEM with the uppers modified for additional caster with Del-a-lum bushings from GW. Then I went to PA racing tubular and now TRZ.

Given my experience I would only recommend the TRZ if you are determined to deviate from the stock stuff.

The weight loss is minimum but the added caster is nice.

When I went from a "loose" front end with Koni shocks and Moroso springs to a coil over, my car became much more comfortable on the top end.

I did however experience some traction issues until I learned to better utilize my double adjustable rear shocks

The lost energy and travel up is why I woudn't recommend a front coil over until your power level increases to a point where the travel is not as critical to
hook the car. Probably above 700hp or so.
