does anyone have one of these kicking around they don't want? . the center consoles were an option in some early to mid 70's GM cars and were used to store 8 track tapes . thanks Simon
I have one, but it's not in the best shape. It's blue. I also do not have the bracket to mount it to the car.
They were called "Convenience Centers" on the Buick Option list ('71-'74). There were also heater duct extensions which were used with this option as the center floor duct outlets were right in front of where this console mounts.
I was going to ask about the floor ducts as I noticed on my car tonight that it would be directly in front of them
And you rarely see the heater duct ext sold with a unit as most don’t have a clue they were a thing.
You will need to get a floor heater deflector to divert the hot air around your mini console (what it's called on the Buick order form). Several companies sell them since they were used on GTOs, Chevelles, Buicks, etc. but I bought one from Ames Pontiac for $59 and it is a nice reproduction. This part is for an A-body and I'm not sure if it would be the same for an Electra.
well ok , that's what ill need . was already thinking of making something up if I need to but this just the part
This is the one I have. It's pretty dirty but otherwise seems OK. Though I don't have the key for the lock. I'll look to see if I grabbed the special heater duct, but as someone said I didn't know it was a thing at the time.
Luxus I messaged you on your profile .oh any chance I can get a pic of the front ? sorry to be a pain .
