Any billet 350 cranks, etc., planned Ken? Is the 350 platform included in your interests? Nice to see you stepping right up to the plate.....
Will this be all high end billet type stuff or will some of this stuff be somewhat affordable for the average Buick enthusiast?
From the beginning Ken's prime push is to make "Buicks Fast With Class" affordable.... Parts are designed and being made in Billet and cast, from Sportsman to Pro racing for Buick loyalists. The parts are designed to be as strong as possible and as affordable as possible. There will be a lot of discussion on parts now that we have finished products in hand and Ken has the programs. If you can make it to the GS Nationals you will see some of the parts available now.
Time is short before BG 2018! I hope to have a big surprise, we all know how that goes. Just being there will be a great Buick experience for me and those associated with me as always. Planning to hit all the Buick events next year and into the future! Yes! This will all be high end billet parts at crazy pricing. We will have incredible prices for all Buick billet cranks. You will just have to wait for them, don't ask how long just yet.
Ha ha thanks. Do you have one of those, how about them, how about that , you gonna have these ? I think I've experienced something like this in my life some ware....!
Derek, Jenn and I met with a CNC mill company in central Florida Friday. We have a meeting with them again on 3/18 to see if they found the crankshaft mill we are looking for along with the 4/5 axis Mazak vertical mill they just got in. Hope to have some more definitive answers soon. Herb, Ken will have an update real soon on the block as I believe all the design/program work is done now.
machine qualifications/history is warranted. who owned it and what did they cut. nickel is different than aluminum. history of crashes and what were they. most new era machines held together with tapered pins how many hours on it. check ballscrews/backlash. good ballscrew company or bad. is a warranty or return available if machine doesn't meet your standards. any tooling come with it. tooling is not cheap. finally....the computer....if it goes down, can it be fixed or replaced/updated. seen a lot of them 2yrs, died, and nothing available after costing 500k for the machine. manf didn't care. probably missing more questions. old brain is losing it. lol
