Saw this and held back on posting here because I knew it would show up soon enough. What a fantastic opportunity for someone with the means. Obviously I would love to own it but it's not the right time.

Up until this time I doubted one optioned out like this even existed. Although it always existed in my "if I could have ordered one" short list.

Someone will jump me for this (getting used to it by now) but I would say this is a one of one vehicle IMHO

Considering there were very few Aquamist cars made at the Flint plant, you could be right.

    Or damn close.

How many were painted Aquamist from Flint?

I have the numbers at home but if memory serves me correct, it's around 100 ish GS 455's produced at that Flint plant.

Deductive reasoning would make this a very low number car.

I found it in Mike Trom's book. The number is 103. Thanks Brett.

They made 5,462 GS-455 coupes in Flint in 1970. Out of those, as said, only 103 were painted code 34. When you think about it, that's like less than 2%. Did that percentage hold for the 664 Stage 1 4 speed cars? If so, that would be about 12-13 Stage 1 4 speed hardtops painted Aquamist. Pure speculation on my part but plausible. Add in the choice of tops and interiors and its hard to believe there were 2 made exactly alike.

I love the car too, eXcept the lasting impression someone's wife left on it, too bad it hurts the value significantly IMO.

Didn’t you have a aqua automatic one ?

Aqua ✔️ No vinyl ✔️ Non AC ✔️ Redlines ✔️ 4-speed ✔️ Pearl buckets ✔️ Hard to do much better .

... and we would have to multiply it with the "survival rate" of Muscle cars of this era.

Me also luv this color combo!

    HA!!

That still kinda eats at my friend. That was a score and a half - and only a half because you weren't involved and the seller didn't throw in any NOS parts. :D:D
