Haven't posted in probably 10 years so thought a reintroduction might be in order. Some of you may know me as MrEarl from the BCA Forum where I was moderator for 14 or so years. My wife and I will be hitting the Buick Highway with our '79 Buick Estate Wagon and a 74 Airstream Argosy in a month or so and will be looking for some technical advice between now and then. I currently have the '79, a '54 Century 3 speed, a '54 Roadmaster and a 38 Special Slantback. Anywho, good to be back and look forward to any help anyone can offer. Hope I can be of help with the 54-56 Buick advice also. Lamar Quick question, what is the photo size limit here?
I’m not entirely sure on photo size limit, but sometimes it kicks jpegs out. Try and post everything you want though, you’ll know if it doesn’t work
Welcome back. There is an automatic re-sizer for posting photos here. I just take them right off my phone and copy paste them. Easy.
Welcome, Mr Earl! I remember you from when I was on the Riviera forums on the AACA website. Sounds like a fantastic journey you and your wife are about to take
Love the wagon and the Air stream. Always thought they would be nice here when it snows and I want to spend a few nights in th esnow belt. Al
That makes for a nice looking combination. The Argosy was an interesting chapter in Airstream history.
Welcome back. Safe travels. A thread showing moments from your on the road adventures would be cool. And, if you should be in any member's 'neck of the woods, maybe a meet-up would be in the cards.
I gotta admit it. If Von were my neighbor and he had that rig all hooked up and ready to go, I'd be circling it sporting an Indian headdress, with a toy bow and arrow while riding a stick pony.
Well hello there my old friend, been a few years. Hey, you should check back in on the old forum, I understand they're giving pardons. Just kiddin buddy. Thanks for the comment, I've always liked the painted Airstreams, much more character in my opinion.
Yep Jim, tha's one of the sources of the MrEarl name. The other from the one and only Mr Harley Earl. Interesting stories, maybe I'll tell'em some day. By the way, do y'all allow changes in name/ID's here. I mean since I don't only own 54 Roadmasters now....
Thanks Jerry. I'll definitely post them up. Hope to have her ready to tow to the Nationals in OKC this June. Got a lot of work to do to get her ready though. BTW how do you tell where everybody lives, not seeing it in many signatures.
That was my first plan Steve, a '54 Roadmaster in front of something like a Shasta but after visiting one, decided they were to small for me, the wife Rita and the hound dog Elvis so looked for and found this combination, just the right size.
