Had my Dad come down from Alaska this past week for Father's Day and also his birthday on the 12th. Luckily it all coincided with my favorite car event of the year in Couer d'Alene, Idaho. We drove the Riv over, which is his favorite of my cars, without incident there and back. Met up with a couple of my buddies there in town.....lots of amazing cars, they estimated 600 in the cruise Friday night and 2000 in the show Saturday. They said there was approximately 50,000 extra people from every state there. An absolutely fantastic event, and where else are you going to see things like a Hemi 'Cuda cruising next to a matching Hemi Superbird? There were quite a few Buicks, saw a yellow GSX Friday night but didn't get a pic, and the show was too big to see all of it so never did see it again, but I did see in person and cruise next to my first Cabalerro which was cool. This one had a 401 swapped in. All in all a great weekend. Lots of pics, give me a few to load them all.
Based on your pictures it looks like the UV index was at an all time high. I like the last two photos in post #8.
Thanks Brian ...yeah was 80 both days and not a cloud in the sky. Definitely sunscreen weather! Couple more I forgot.....
Nice pics bro Nice shirt too Yeah the weather looked perfect that's for sure. We went to la roadsters father's day show yesterday not to shabby. I didn't snap any pics but these
Yeah, Joe, got to look legit and sport the shirt! There's literally something for everyone, I tried to take pics of a good variety that I think the guys on here would appreciate. There's also some imports, English cars, German/Italian stuff, yadayada, but the vast majority (like 95%) is muscle, street rods, and customs. There was a pinup girl contest we didn't make it to and a lot of live bands and djs. Definitely the highlight of my automotive year.
Hahahaha....well, I did see a lot of the contestants walking around campaigning....I could tell the old man was getting pretty tired from all the walking/sun/beer, so had to haul it in a little early. I slept probably 16 hours yesterday and last night catching up.
