Not interested in block but want to know the part number for your upper and lower radiator hoses. What size are the inlet and outlet on radiator?
That sounds right. My engine was out of a riviera and I used the hoses from that engine and adapted down. If you could get your hose numbers sometime that would be fine. No hurry. The hoses I have are fine. I want to make it look good
Was this a running motor then torn down to what we see here? If so how many passes/miles? Is the deck height std? How fresh is the hone job? Does it need anything else machine wise? should I be able to drop in my rotating assembly? Thank you!
If your pistons are +.038 your good to go. Had just made a 10.20 pass. Next run out I pulled the top chip to try a later shift and the air shifter didnt make the 2-3 and it revved to 8000. It was 13-1 full rolller with TA stage 3 heads. Cannot tell you the exact deck height. No ridge in the cylinders. Its ready to go. I put around 100 - 150 passes on it. Just building a full girdle set up to hold me over until the Tomahawk is finished. Not much to go on but this was taken as it was being assembled last time.
Have no idea. Made sometime between 70 and 76. Will the casting number on the back help you? We can continue this in a PM if you like.
Hey Briz! What pistons did you have in it and any idea what the compression height might have been? Wondering if this might not be worth getting to slowly piece together a 482 street/strip build. With the off the shelf 482 pistons, Id want to be able to run pump gas (unless I jumped into the e85 pool ...) Also, the ever present question, how was your oil pressure? (I'm sure that's a stupid question, but gotta ask)
It had Aries domed pistons. was 13-1 compression. Only ran it on 110. It was connected to a Peterson ext single stage pump which made way more oil pressure than the engine needed. Theres so vids on my youtube channel of the car running for testing and adjusting the pressure. https://www.youtube.com/user/Itsjustbriz/videos?view=0&sort=dd&shelf_id=0&view_as=subscriber
