Anybody have picture of the proper install of the trunk rubber ? Seems like it can go in a couple different ways
I already have the rubber seal Brett suggested and it is very nice , just looking for an installed picture as it can go in a couple of ways. Thanks
Chris, here's a video, and my advice. Personally, I don't glue trunk weatherstrip in. If you want to do that use 3M black weatherstrip stuff, and try to only use a tiny bit or where it's needed and the seam. Lots of reasons not to glue it in, I'm not going to get into them, it's my personal preference. This is not a 10 minute job to do right. You start near the latch, but not in the center. You will definitely glue where the ends meet. You go really slow and make sure it's seated flat and correctly. You pay extra attention at the corners. You don't pull at the corners. A popsicle stick or plastic upholstery tool may help to push it in better, it should lay nice and flat. You kind of roll it in. I could show you in 5 minutes, it's hard to explain. But, if it's in right it will stay in w/o glue.
