Wondering how many of you have a project car or are all your cars done.

And since I got you here what Buick are you holding out for?.
This year I said no to alot of new projects because I'm holding out for a convertible, a business coupe, or a 4 door flat top.

What is your project car and goals?

The Riv for all practical purposes is complete. Still many things that can be done over time. Just bought a upgraded radiator. In the future mandrel bent exhaust and some day a Sniper EFI. Hope to get some stuff done on the Wildcat over the winter. Looking for a new race car. Something small and Buick. Skyhawk ?

At this moment, no, both of my collectibles are drivers. I'm hunting, and I want something unique. I'm looking for a 50s vintage Mercedes or a funny little 50s vintage German car called a Borgward Isabella. I won't say no to a nice 61-62 Olds Starfire either, but it would have to be nice and probably not a project.

My current project car is me trying to graft a 1968 Jeep Wagoneer body onto a 2006 trailblazer ss chassis.

Future project that it'd like to tackle would be a 1959 Buick invicta build. I love the body lines on the 59, especially the diagonal headlights.

I have a 70 GS, had previous sportsman's certification, bought it as frame, cage, and body. 3 of us picked it up and walked it onto the trailer.

Figure it would come in close to at least 1000 lighter than my current car. Just talking myself into spending the 10-15k it would cost to do it right, just to go bracket racing 5-10 times a year.........its alot of money. And that's me transfering alot from.my current car

Had it 7 or so years now just sitting inside.

Who knows maybe if I stop having other big expenses I might find a few dimes to go its way

See I think the whole project car or any project is good for the brain. Glad to see everybody's plans.

Pushing it past practicality, nice. One man might see it done but another doesent. 61-63 skylark and specials are small too... Just giving you some ideas. What would u do with the skyhawk because I'm currious.

The speed bug bite me young and it was a Buick speed bug. I was 15 and my neighbor Keven ( a good ol country boy who always was wrenching in his overalls) took me for a ride in his led sled 51 Buick coupe. He chopped the top completely off. I dont think he even had a windshield, cant remember because when he slammed the pedal all the way down from a dead stop the buick 455 made my head snap back so fast my memorys got all rearranged lol.
I went home and forgot where my clean boxers were because i sure needed a pair lol

Those are the ones you never plan on selling because that is the only time they are done after they are sold.

Some of my projects I cant sell.
Borgwad Isabella coupe looks nice, with some lines that remind me of a 53 skylark.
I wont say no to a 61-2 olds starfire even if it had mold, no floors and an extra mother in law in the trunk.

I was reading your wagon thread the other day, you got down buick brother. That's a cool project, bet you had to change plans, adapt and adhjust.
I would not let a 59 invicta slip through my fingers

My 54 chopped Studebaker pickup. I have had this along time and did lots of work and then stopped. I sold another truck I had to use the money for the Studebaker but bought the 70 GS that lead me here. I should not have bought that car and put more into my truck but I have a problem....lol. The Studie was the last classic my father rode in as he was dying from brain cancer. He would just say Hey lets go for a ride and didn't care where. There were times we just drove around the neighborhood because he would forget he was in the truck and want to go home. I will never sell the truck.
