    Hey Guys,

Some of you may not know this part has now been reproduced.

I received one earlier this week and so far I feel like they did a good job. Chrome seems decent and it comes with the Bracket AND Mounting Gasket (Which can also be hard to find!)

I will be mounting one in the next couple of weeks on a car we restored earlier this summer.
As soon as we find time to get the car back in the shop this is one of the items I'll be installing.
I can give a more detailed review at that time.
LH 1971/72 Mirrors are also available !

    Thanks for looking.....

Retail is $199 or $209 (Ebay Price)

    MY PRICE is $195.00

Is your price the same for the 71/72 passenger mirror?

Does it come with a mounting template? If not, it needs to.

Great news Todd. Much needed part. Can you post a pic of the front side showing the TriShield emblem?

If the 71/72 RH mirrors look that nice go ahead and put me down for one when/if they become available. Its a pain in the neck driving around here without a RH mirror. I find myself still glancing over there like a mirror has somehow magically appeared then wind up having to twist my neck around to make sure its clear.

The black highlights are easy to do.

What's the best way to do them?

Shoot some Satin Black on them. Once cured, take a lint free cloth and pull tightly over the end of your finger, dip it in lacquer thinner and lightly wipe the paint away. The paint in the recessed tri shield and lines will remain.

Shouldnt the tri shield be toward the outside of the mirror?

No, I don't think so Jim. I think it's in the right place. I've got an NOS or new take-off here. I might review this thing.

in '70, Buick did not make a dedicated RH outer mirror body (chrome and mirror glass), it only made the dedicated RH pedestal. Buick used the std LH non remote outer mirror body (chrome and mirror glass) with the unique RH pedestal to make the RH outside mirror assembly. So the RH chrome mirror assembly has the Tri-shield emblem exactly like the '70 LH chrome mirror.

Modernly, this is really a needed safety item. Glad it is at least being reproduced now.

I bought one, looks nice. Hopefully I'll get a chance to install it this week on the GS convertible. I was close to painting a set of sport mirrors I have and putting them on, I hate not having a passenger mirror.
