1965 Buick Skylark 2 door sedan “post” car. Pretty solid car, no rust in the floors, doors, or fenders, has some rust in drivers side quarter panel, some rust around the lower edge of the back glass window, and some on the lower side of the windshield. Interior is OK. Has a 455 supposedly pulled from a 1970 Electra, has an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, headers, th400 with I’m guessing a 2800 stall, backed by a GM 12 bolt posi rear end with 3.73 gear. Car was built several years ago as a fun street car by an older gentleman, and did run mid 12’s on the drag strip. I just replaced the water pump, starter, added a new Ford solenoid, replaced the stock radiator with a larger aluminum one, and replaced the poorly routed transmission cooler lines.. I also just did a complete tune up, points, rotor, cap, plugs and wires. Car had been sitting for a bit, and need attention.. Runs pretty good, a very fun to drive street car, has good power and will roast the tires! Bumpers are a little tweaked, and I do have a straight front bumper that would be great to rechrome... I really don’t want to sell it, but for the race car project to try and stay on track, this has to go...Car is currently in California “non op” status.... Located in Escondido CA, $5800.... I’ll be posting it on Craigslist and other sites soon, and have “offered it” to a few others, but no replies yet.... Gary G (858)531-2963 badbuik@cox.net
More pics. No rust in the trunk, looks like the wheel wells have been cut inside the quarters/wheel wells.
Looks like a cool driver with some work. Does anybody have an idea on shipping from California to New York? I haven’t shipped cars in years. Thanks
From Rhode Island to Montana was about $1600 open, from Vegas to Seattle was $1600 enclosed. I'd imagine it's going to be about 2k on an open trailer.
Thank you. I was just seeing if it was feasible. I guess not. I did salvage cars for years and shipped all over the US and exported. That’s all gone now.
I have a car and truck that are getting shipped to Boston, the buyer was thinking about getting more cars to ship, it’d save him money, the gentleman ships stuff from CA to Boston regularly, Maybe a deal could be made with him, and like I said in the AD, I can “adjust” the price (some) to help with shipping.. Think about it, let me know, I could connect you with the “buyer”. His car & truck do need to be out of my yard soon, so it will happen... Gary G
