was camping a couple weeks ago near where I live and I came across a 76 regal with t tops and a v6 60,000 original miles and a one owner bucket seats console real clean there asking 7800 for it anyone have any idea if it’s worth close to that
Color, condition of the interior, also if the bumper fillers are toast , as of today there are no replacements
A car is worth what someone is willing to pay. For that car, look it over closely. There's not a lot of aftermarket support for 73-77 GM A bodies. Like ajesh35 stated, rubber bumper fillers are virtually impossible to find. I prefer to buy a car with a clean body. Mechanical repairs are usually easier and cheaper to repair than a rusty body. If you like the car, make them an offer that you can live with. The v6 does reduce the value significantly, but it would be very easy to replace it with a 350.

Yep! I disregard the engine, trans, condition and the mileage, It don't mean squat to me. I want rust free sheet metal, clean frame and floor. A decent condition interior is a plus, but it doesn't have to be showroom condition. Trying to remove rust, or panel replacement is VERY labor intensive, and if not done correctly, you'll be doing it again. Mechanical repairs or replacement is a durable repair, it will typically last for years and years. Post pics of the car
Advertised parts from a super clean 76-77 Regal in the U pick a part years ago. No interest. I did buy the silly grille, still have it. I'd definitely inspect the floors, the T tops leak.
The S/R package is a plus, upscale bucket seats, rear seat and console plus steering wheel and road wheels. Absolutely a great body is worth more than a great engine short of maybe a rusty LS6 SS. Spend money on a car that doesn't need body/interior work and you can spend all your other cash/time working on the good stuff, driveline. That is what I just did. If you have to worry what it will be worth later buy another car.
sweet car! a 350 with the aluminum heads would be nice too! But then, we also have a killer recipe for a naturally aspirated stage-2 V6. Either way, someone needs to get that car.
