I know of about a dozen documented SS 396/454 cars local to me. One guy, in particular, owns a beautiful '70 LS5 bench seat 4-speed car and he's jokingly (or not) offered to buy mine quite a few times. He wants a Buick pretty bad.
And that’s a good thing. Makes the Buick’s rarer. But less interest so it all equals out. Both great cars. But if he wants a 455 or 455 Stage ya gotta pay. Like an LS5 or LS6. Is Alains car the recently restored Stage 1 car?
Yes, finished about a year ago and he spent a year tuning on it, showing it, and driving it so it's all sorted out. Check out the thread where he documented the resto. I don't think you'll find a nicer one for the $. Like I said in his for sale post, if it was in the cards for me it wouldn't be listed for sale.
Great color, tons of options, and finished right! It will be good for another 20-30 years with the right caretaker.
Hey Eagleguy, NOT a real stage one, however, you are welcome to drive over to St Pete and take a look at this GORGEOUS 72!
Would you be interested in a 4 speed car in Burnished Cinnamon, no AC and saddle interior? Needs nothing but to be driven.
