6mpg? I can see where that exhaust leaking, un-tuned example could get that. Anyone notice the speedometer isn't working?
Yeah, neither does the gas gauge. BUT he has something on the dash. NEVER got over 60 or so. The MPG is BS. I gotten as much as 22 on my '61 LeSabre
...can we expect another trans engineering "expert" in future to do same kind of "hindsight analysis" on current ever-increasing number of gears used to simulate electric motor smoothness...3 minutes was all I could stand...
It was nice of them to leave their MMORPG’s and their momma’s basement to go out and make the video. Momma probably paid for the video gear too.
Its cool to see younger people interested in old iron, but to act like they know the history, specs and backround of the way things were at that time is STUPID! 6 mpg? was it running on 7 cylinders? Without a working speedometer/odometer how do they know? OHHHHHH, they probably had an app. for that Yes the narrator is annoying
It was obvious the car wasn't running well and certainly wasn't a stellar example, it had a different carb, they were obviously running it hard, and todays gas doesn't give the gas mileage of the old days, I have no doubt they got 6 mpg they were never known to be economy cars. Yes, you can track speed and mile driven on your smartphone through multiple sources. He did have his statistics down pretty well on the car, I doubt many of the ones commenting could give that good of a detailed explanation of how the Dynaflows worked and the Dynaflows various stages of history. Yes, he is annoying to listen to but He actually makes a good living off guys like you that watch his stuff and then complain about it because it just entices more people to go to his channel. Sad also that you assume all Millennials are the same, although I guess much can be said about some guys from each category
He got that history the same place any casual commentator on history does- the internet. He didn't learn it as an enthusiast and he doesn't even own the car.
Regardless, he knew how the system works and that is more than you can say for most, I doubt many Dynaflow owners could give that detailed of a description, and it was obvious he understood the working of it and wasn't just reciting it off the top of his head. And what exactly is an enthusiast? You don't have to be an owner of a car to be an automotive enthusiast. Let's face it, had he had wonderful things to say about the LeSabre, nothing would have been said about him or the review. Have been a Buick enthusiast for over 40 years now and I wouldn't have much good to say about that LeSabre.
'Bottle caps. Spider knees. Glass windshields made of glass. 1956 Olds 88. Mmmmmmmmm.' And there's that maddening yet completely pointless effort of recording each sentence individually to eliminate 0.00000000001 seconds of time between them, because one can only have so much video of a car slowly rolling behind some trees, from across a parking lot. Claptrap.
I couldn't watch the entire video. Annoying. I noticed the jambs all looked to be pure white, but the cars appeared to be a pastel of some blue/purple tint.
