I'm hoping just another few days and I'll be done with them Taking 2400mg a day rite now,..says not to exceed 3200 in a 24hr period,..they actually work really well at killing the pain surprisingly,..
Not to give medical advice, but throw a corn bag in the microwave. Ibuprofen reduces swelling, which is where the pain comes from, and heat promotes circulation, which aids in getting the ibu to where it needs to be and it aids in healing. Ibuprofen alone did little for my pain, and it wasn't dry socket.
When my wisdom teeth were pulled this past January, I tried to avoid the heavy pain meds but ended up succumbing to Vicodin one time. That ended up with me shivering, nauseas on the floor for about 20 minutes as it set in and began to work. Weird stuff man
When my back was killing me I took oxy like ManM's I think I basically became immune to them,..got a prescription for Tylox and they were a godsend one a day and was good to go,..basically the same as oxy but laced with a strong tylenol
I'm not sure what your guys dentists are doing to you down there??. All 4 of my wisdom teeth were impacted. I had the first 2 removed at 19-20 he had to cut them in half and chisel them out of my jaw. I was given a prescription for Tylenol 3 and never used it, a few days of extra strength Advil and gargling warm salt water and I was good to go. A year later he did the other 2 the same way and I followed the same procedure as before and again I was good to go. Sounds like to me the USA dentists should come up Canada for some training lol
Had them knock me out. Wake up and its over. First time (overseas) the recovery was ok but had a scare when I woke up on my back gagging and nobody was there - they were very close but I didn't see them. If I waited an hour or so could have drove home (but wouldn't). Cant remember what meds or how long. The more recent one I woke up and I think mouth already packed and good to go. I was in the car almost immediately, a wheelchair was involved, and thankful I wasn't driving the rest of the day as I was drowsy on-and-off for quite a while. More pain and heal time. No bad vibes about either procedure but the recent one felt more rushed.
The difference was you had it done when you were 19-20. Ethan is mid-thirties I think. The older you are, the more of a big deal it is...
You know what you're probably right, I've noticed recently I don't bounce back as quickly now as I did 16 years ago lol.
Perfect example,..hangover,..used to take 12hrs,..then 24,..then 48,..now I feel like doo doo a week later ha
In my mid thirties I had the top two extracted with a local. Nothing like hearing something being literally torn from your body! They told me the bottom are so impacted that I would likely have permanent nerve damage if they tried to remove them, so they stayed. Seem ok so far.
I got an open bar wedding to attend this weekend I'll let you know when the hangover is over since I'm 36 I'm guessing Wednesday lol
...forgot about that aspect. If you've ever had Novocaine for any lower work, you know what those nerves affect...
