Many of our Buicks had a bat wing style steering wheel, usually in black plastic. This is from a mid 80's Oldsmobile. I liked it because it was a brushed steel bat wing instead of plastic.
Got the new wheel for my birthday yesterday and swapped it on. Must say, I highly recommend Forever Sharp wheels! This thing is top notch, and you can't beat it for the money.
A lot of these aftermarket steering wheels require an adapter. On top of that, the wheels have 3 to 4" of dish. Does that put them closer to the driver than the OEM wheel?
I was going to post in your other thread, but since we're here: It depends. I've got 15" Mooneyes 3 spoke wheels like what you want but not in woodgrain in my F100 and Caddy like these: https://www.mooneyesusa.com/15-inch-Metal-Flake-Slotted-3-Spoke-Steering-Wheel-p/gs270cm.htm . The adapters are only 1/2" or so deep. The wheels are set just where I want them, and have a 3.5" dish on those. I bought my older brother a Grant like this one for his '74 Powerwagon and he loves it:http://www.grantproducts.com/products/view/110/ . Grant makes some that they specifically list for "classic GM" and I bet the dish is close to stock. Unfortunately, you're not going to know what you like until you get it and get it on, but I can tell you this: You'll get used to it if it looks good.
