Dave Johnson and I found my cheat sheet under my passenger seat in the springs this past April during an archeological dig.

Subsequent "digs" in the A-Pillar and above the gas tank came up fruitless.

Yes it is and with Wayne Roberts report it came with 3.90 rear (how did someone in small town Ephrata,PA know how to order it that way)
4 speed Stage 1 no air rear defrost and comfort flow passenger side chrome mirror 14" wheels standard

This is one of about a half dozen '70 Stage 1 4-speed cars originally from PA that I know of.

I guess they knew what they really wanted down there.

Brett, I was going to look at the black car in Lebanon I didn't have the money but thought it was a good deal. also before I bought mine from the previous owner I told him where to find the body shop inspection sheet and he looked and couldn't find it . When I got it and had to to take off the dash pad found it right away it was hidden and the end painted (blended in) hope that would be the case for yours. I took the gas tank down many years after having the car and found that 1 and I took out the passenger seat only a few years ago and found the small sheet not knowing what it was but kept anything I found in the car so far except the wrigley's gum wrapper under the carpet

    Cork,

    Which black car? Mine?

Unfortunately, both of my other searches have come up empty.

Dano bought it in Lebanon in October of 2016 but only owned it a short time before selling it to me.

So, essentially - yes. It was also a Craigslist sale.

Brett, it was no more than 30 minutes from where mine was originally purchased

I just found my production order on top of the fuel tank (replacing due to damage) and see that the vehicle identification does not match the vin of the car in the windshield. Off by 2 digits. Any comment? I tried contacting buick for the original build list but they only go back to 85 is what the lady told me.

That happens a lot. It was not a perfect system and they really weren't building show cars. It's a little difficult to see in your avitar what year you have. Care to share?

1971 Sport Coupe, 350/350. I believe the original buyer opted for the GS hood, steering wheel, buckets seats and floor shifter, A/C (have new original air R134 system ordered). Wheels were 14x6, but adding 245/60/15, w/new 15x8 (backordered) to the front, and 275/60/15, w/new 15x10 to the back (installed). Just put in the new stainless tank, which is how I found the production order doc on top of the old tank.

Yea, well, hate to tell you but there are zero documents available for 1971. 1970 yes, 1972 yes but no 1971 documentation available.

Agreed it might be a dead end. This one was purchased at Rank & Son, which closed in 2016 (WI). I thought maybe some files might be available, but with them closing 5 years ago, not likely. Since the numbers match, I think I want to rebuild the 350 as opposed to LS swap. I don't know if these are a 2 bolt or 4 bolt main, but I would want to up the cam and some other parts to get a little more hp out of it. Maybe the fuel injected carb...

The production order did have legible data on it and it did match the stuff on the car (i.e. axle, engine, transmission etc).

2 bolt mains but plenty stout. There are several threads on performance builds for 350's. They are great engines!

On the POBF it doesn't make any difference as it was for the car 2 behind yours, just so happened to be equipped with the same driveline.

Any complete performance rebuild kits recommended? I'm guessing I will at least have to have the block bores, piston bores and cam bearing bores machined and measured before I order.

I personally would contact TA Performance. They have what you need and are Buick experts.
