A tiny timing cover gasket leak and instead of just doing an 8 dollar gasket, I went way overboard....
Removed the B4B and Edelbrock 750 and starting heading down that factory correct rabbit hole.
Lots of time reading and rereading the factory manual and late nights under and on top of the car.
Many thanks to a number of board members, too many to list, so I won't for fear of leaving someone out.
I will say this though. I have spent more time on the phone with Buick board members who went out of their way to educate and engage me to get this motor back to where it is.
I can't help but feel that we are all very fortunate, collectively, for the knowledge on this board, and the passion that goes with it.
Todd at Diecast Muscle Cars must hear my voice in his sleep after the amount of times I have called him.
Many thanks to all of you for your time and for digging out those parts for me.
After I get the wiper motor back from being redone, install Bruno's vacuum line for the power break booster and Mark Stellar's newly rebuilt starter, I'll be cranking it up.
One last thing and I will end this. Larry, aka "the WIZARD" is the man. If he posted it, I've read it. His ability to answer questions, and convey his point is spot on. Things that I would have normally picked up the phone to call about, only took reading his posts and I understood it.
    Thanks to all.... 20191031_003418.jpg 20191031_001012.jpg 20191031_001005.jpg 20191031_182152.jpg

Looking good. Glad to know I'm not the only 1 that can't just do the small fix and walk away. Mine turned into a frame off. All I had to do was build the carb and fix a leak.

    Mike,

I see you've entered into OCD land like me. I like it!!

That said: both heater hoses use the Corbin clamps and the hose from the water pump to the thermostat uses pinch clamps like these.

Either black or the green works and they would have had some red overspray.

Also, the alternator fan blade should be gray.

Definitely not nitpicking, just passing along info that's been afforded to me the last few years.
