I have been following this Ebay auction. It says it ended and that the WINNING BID was $20,000. 1970 BUICK GS 455 STAGE 1 (REAL DEAL) 1970 Buick GS 455 GS 455 STAGE 1 Winning bid: $20,100.00 Ended: Nov 20, 2019 , 8:18PM https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Buick-GS-455-GS-455-STAGE-1-/264532464675?autorefresh=true&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&fromMakeTrack=true&nma=true&si=byk7Zcrfx1i0dSKTlaDlUWoNQUU%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 But right now it's still on Ebay as a separate simultaneous listing, same seller, priced at $31,000 Buy It Now, but open to offers, with 21 days left on the listing. https://www.ebay.com/itm/264532437797?ViewItem=&item=264532437797 The first listing doesn't say the auction was canceled, it says it was sold to the highest bidder. So maybe the seller hasn't gotten around to canceling this other listing? Quite possible, but one other thing I noticed was the VIN on this car: VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): 446370H123456 123456? If that's legit, that's a pretty cool VIN to own. What do you guys think? On the up and up? Or something fishy?
Yeah I seen it too. Usually sellers have one add sometimes with a buy it now price. If the seller didn't have a no reserve on the one auction, legally he would have to sell it at that high bid but it would probably have to go to court. I think the seller probably made a mistake but he should have cancelled that auction. Have to see how it pans out if we ever know.
YES THEY ARE TWO LISTING ON HERE ONE IS A BUY IT NOW WITH A BEST OFFER OR YOU CAN BID TO WIN WITH A NO RESERVE... THANKS. From the listing high bidder never paid?
Maybe he had a friend bid it up or the seller changed his mind when the top bid was so far from his buy it now ? At $20,100 I think it was a great deal for a rust free ?, California car. Also rare if that was a factory installed spoiler. Only seen one other. If memory is correct, 121 GS were built with it.
I was thinking that might be the reason, but on other items (such as guns) I have seen the owner list most of the actual serial number, and then type some xxxx for the last few numbers (for privacy or something?). On cars, isn't it helpful to have the VIN so you can verify the car is a real Stage 1 or whatever?
I have been following it as well... thought maybe he just forgot to end the second listing....however, once i noticed the reserve auction ended the buy it now/best offer listing was at $31,000....since then the listing went down to $29,000.... i am thinking it didn't sell at the met reserve price of 20k....
The seller is in NC and he flips a ton of cars. I always see he has Buicks but never get any feedback about him. I think some of the cars he has had and has are way over priced
