I am looking for some leads for wrecking yards within 3-5 hour drive from Phoenix. I really need some parts from a 2 door 69 wildcat or Lesabre. Any leads so I can call before driving would be appreciated. I know of Desert Valley Auto Parts, they have moved their big Buick inventory to Black canyon city from 7th street and won’t sell me anything until they open the new location. Thanks

The filler between rear window and trunk. My car had a vinyl roof and when we removed the top the section underneath was full of holes.
So really looking for the section from a non vinyl top car as they all seem to be bad in that area, Thanks

OK Racenu: DVAP? Never EVER EVER EVER. A fun place for the gate fee if you don't mind the heat, otherwise no. Mitch

Thanks Mitch, I got a few good deals & picked myself but usually buick stuff is priced as if they are rare Chevelle SS parts...very pricey.

If you go to speedway (Phil) and spend $1.00 you got taken...

DVAP On the north side of Phoenix sucks. The one down in Casa Grande different story. I was allowed to wonder around and pull my own parts in that one.

DVAP bought Hidden Valley Auto parts in Maricopa to the best of my knowledge. Maybe? that is the Black Canyon location you speak of?
Valley Auto in Safford is largely crushed out, but may have some loose bits on their racking.
Fort Auto parts in Huachuca City appears closed, you may have to do some local investigating to find out if it can be accessed. Azchevs may know more it is less than 10 miles from him.

Just got back from hidden valley in Maricopa and desert valley in Casa grande. No luck on 2 door 69 so I’m heading to Black Canyon city tomorrow. DVAP said I can’t access that location yet but I’m going to look anyway. The big Buick’s have been moved there in the last month. I did see a 63 convertible Riv, at Hidden Valley, I didn’t think they made them? Might be a custom 1 of none car?

That Riv might be worth taking a look at.
Believe I seen a factory black and white photo of a prototype. Probably a later custom but you never know. Rarest Hemi convertible was found in a wrecking yard in Ontario.

I am going back there to get a gas tank for my wildcat, I will ask about the convertible Riv, on the drive back from Maricopa I thought I should have had a closer look at it and asked what the story was on it?

Found all my wildcat parts at Black Canyon City, DVAP is relocating the Happy valley yard, unfortunately I paid a premium but needed the parts. Thanks for all the replies and leads, Gordon

Okay, so the Hidden Valley (HVAP) stash is going to Black Canyon. Black Canyon is the area north of Phoenix Metro, the 17 Freeway heading N towards Flagstaff is the "Black Canyon Frwy". Remember walking Hidden Valley 2 1/2 to 3 years ago, they still had some great stuff - saw '70 Chevelle stuff littered about as well as plenty of late sixties BOP cars. Like DVAP, their prices were hit or miss - guess they depended on the mood of the counter person that day.
