Few hours from me but could go look for someone. I think I might know this car if the SS striped hood hanging on the wall used to be on it.

That’s not a good deal in my opinion .

My first car was a 1970 "Shovel", it was a piece of junk. This one looks like a regular Malibu with A/C, a nice touch. The price point isn't too far off as long as the car doesn't need too much sorting out to get reliable. If the 350 has 4 bolt mains, it's a good one, and might stand up to the abuse. It'd be a fun car to thrash...

My problem with the car is ...... everything done to the car was done poorly. Poor paint job, poor interior, poor everything really. So do we really think that someone who can butcher an interior that badly, can do all the mechanical upgrades right and well? I would be very unsure.

Plus $14,000 actually buys a decent car, no need for something this cobbled up for the price.

Looking at it more closely, I'm going to say I'd have to agree with you. The interior is actually green, not black, and you're right, it is kibbled together.

It might not be a "bad car", it just looks like he bought a bunch of used parts and threw it together is my concern. I would have rather bought the car when it was still a beat up green Chevelle with a green interior bench seat, at least I would know what I had. He obviously bought the seats off the cheap rack lol, and the trunk rubber and wiring mess makes me wonder how much effort he really put into it, and worst of all, how can you call something a clone when all I see is 1 grill emblem and a hood? I like my clones to be a little more involved, give me an SS steering wheel and door panels for $14,000, or spray paint on some stripes, do something for a guy, right now it looks about as much like an SS as my GS does :)

If it's the same car that I remember (the more I look, the more I think it is), it used to run around Great Falls with SHIFT on the license plates about 20 years ago and was a friend of mine's cousin's. Pretty quick back in the day, fairly well known car in our area. Was a really nice green Malibu with white SS stripes, Cragar wheels, and a green interior, and I do remember it having custom upholstery (matching back seat) which this is probably still the same interior from'98 or so and was obviously well done as it looks like the custom upholstery, although outdated, is still hanging in there great. It's just what we did back then. I BELIEVE a factory manual car, but it definitely had a 4 speed even back then (hence the license plate). Looks like someone took it and tried to do the murdered out thing. Might still be that good car hiding under there.

yep the wheels need to go. Do have a set of five correct 15 x 7 SS rallies that would look far better.

Still a major good deal. Beige bench automatic mom mobiles 70 -72 are all around 18-20 grand North of the 49th parallel.
