Due to an offer I cant resist I am offering up my 1969 GS California race car. Car was bought in 2002 from mike modina and was known as "scrap iron screamer" ,clear Ohio title. After I got it I put 1/4s on it and painted it. It's an amateur job but looks ok. Underside is rust free. All steel except hood and bumpers, all lexan except windshield, car weighs 3200#'s with me in it. 10 gal. Fuel cell, 4.10 full spool 12 bolt with c-clip eliminates axles bolted and welded to center section, wilwood 4 piston brakes all around, s.s. machine lower control arms, adjustable upper control arms, HR parts anti roll bar, adj rear shocks,13-31 slicks, wheelie bars. interior is pretty much basic, 10 pt cage, all electronics, delay box, msd 7al, adj 2 step, ameter gauges. Engine is 75-76 block .030 over 462, 12:1, stage 2 SE heads, harland sharp roller rockers, alum rods, scavenger oil system, wildcat intake, holley 1150 dominator on e85,( if you're not wanting to run e85 I can convert it back to race gas and knock $500 off the price). dedenbear throttle stop, TA rocker covers, 308s cam, internal balanced, sfi flexplate & balancer, block is girdles and 3/4 filled, engine diaper, maybe 25 runs since freshened. Alum radiator, engine oil cooler, trans cooler, remote oil filter. TH400 trans with manual reverse shift valve body, extra clutches,5000 stall converter, deep pan. I run a 10.50 class so I throttle stop it back. Itll run 10.20s with the stop opened up and a little quicker if the stop was removed. I shift at 6000 rpms so it would pick up a little more shifting a little higher. I have won many races with this car and its very consistent. I'm sure theres stuff I'm forgetting, message me if you have questions. Asking $13k turn key or $7k rolling.
Oh god, do you need a Riviera? I know you need cash, this is a beautiful car though. Can it be streeted to the track? I'm thinking not.
Doug, is the engine in stock location or is it 5" back where I used to run it? Mike Good luck with the sale
I put it back in the stock location. I didnt find any difference in weight transfer. The firewall being moved does make it alot easier to work on though.
Mike Moden (Scrappy) did the work. The frame was cut and boxed and mini tubbs installed. We bought the car from him in 2002.
Ha ha I know Sam,would love it,but trying to thin the stable not add to it. Maybe if I get rid of 2 could add one. BTW,thats my son selling his 69 California not me.
