I am looking for the molding that goes along the rear edge of the hood on a 1970 Skylark or GS 455. This is made up of three pieces, the piece that is on the rear edge of the hood, and two pieces that go on the rear edge of each fender. I have the center piece that goes on the hood, I only need the pieces that go on the rear edge of the fenders.
Does it look like the ones in the middle of this photo. Dirty but will clean them up and send you better photos if there correct. Joe
Those are 71-72,70's are 1/8 of one inch wide.I might have 2,as I have a 70 GS 350 in my driveway.I will look and let you know.Bruno.
I didn't know that, I thought the upper fender molding is the same for 70-72, and the 69 had the thin molding.
I have the thin hood molding and one of the fender moldings. Missing one fender molding. Just curious if this was part of the trim package with the trunk lid molding and the peak reveal moldings?
I have all that if you are interested. Let me know and I will get some pics of them to you. Cheers, Richard
Thanks for the replies guys, sorry for slow response; I have been offline for a few days. I had no idea the '70 parts were different than other years. The illustration in the first post is from the 1970 Buick color and trim book. The trim shown in black is supposedly standard on a 1970 GS455 and the stuff in the pink-ish color is optional. So according to that the trim I am looking for should have been standard on a GS455 but who knows. Richard (richop) and Wheelz please PM me some photos of what you have if you don't mind. Thanks again.
Hi, I will defer to Wheelz on this one as I have all three pieces and would prefer to sell them as a group. Sorry, my fault for reading the post incorrectly. Cheers, Richard
"A" & "B" are 70 style. The two lower trims are 71-72 style. $29.54 for the pair 70's -shipped. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
JUST NOTICED...the illustration you posted, certainly looks like the front end resembles more a 69 on a 70s rear body? .? .? ??? er IS IT JUST ME???
Yes I noticed that too...I swear it's an illustration from 1970 Buick color and trim book! At any rate, the parts I am looking for are a 1970 GS455.
... ya, its just an optical conclusion illustration. . . and I DO have the upper fender trim parts as posted a few replies above. . .
Wheelz - Just remembered, I will be in your neck of the woods in a couple weeks. If you don't mind I will just swing by and pick them up? It will save you the packing and shipping hassle. OK with you? I will bring cash.

I looked at mine the other day and they're the "later" version. This is a last week of December 1969 build and I have no reason to believe they're not original to the car. This is weird....
