57C81868-9516-45AD-974E-9270FA0BC8B4.png The dates and venues have been announced. We have rooms booked for the Long Haul, planning to drive a ‘66 Skylark Gran Sport. Who else is going? If you like cars, car people, and driving your car this is great event to attend. You don’t have to go all 7 days. We need more Buicks on the Tour!

The car club here, Car Guys of SouthEast Iowa, is planning on going to the Davenport portions of the show as a group. I believe I am the only one with a Buick though. Not sure if I can attend yet.

I'll likely be at the June 8th stop at the Montgomery county fairgrounds in Dayton.

Heck yeah! I'll likely be in the green car. I usually sport a v8buick shirt so I'm easy to spot by other members. Haha

Sorry Lucas. Not gonna happen in our life time. GM corporate is controlling HRPT. They want to keep it in the east.

Would love for it to actually do what the Power tour started as a drive across country. Sea to shining sea.

Look at the circling around and short drives. The first car out will arrive at the new destination just as the last car is leaving the start. Must be for the trailer queen chevys that cannot handle a long drive.

Tim, we have done 13 Power Tours. They range between 2000-4200 miles start to finish including the drive to the start and home from the finish. The daily drives are longer than what maps show as we typically take backroads and scenic routes. You’re right, it doesn’t take long for the posers to be parked on the side of the road with their hoods up. I highly recommend running the Tour for the great cars and great car people you will meet.

I'm ignorant of the power tour. Is it like a week long car show spread out over 5-7 cities? Is there any racing? It sounds like fun and a great way to meet folks.

Usually drag racing at a couple of the stops. There’s also an autocross, manufacturers midway, and dyno. There is a car show at each venue, free to the public. Many years there is a special lunch stop, drive around a race track, drive-in movie, etc. on one of the days. The best part is driving your car through all the scenic roads and small towns being greeted my many of the locals. Americana at its finest.
