Who’s seen these on a 70GS? Power vent blowers non A/C. I have another early 70 with upper vents w/o power vents. Was this an option or an early 70 thing? 98F887D4-CDE8-418B-9326-7CCBA70E99C7.jpeg DCAC26F2-4479-457B-97C8-033A6A59DF10.jpeg

Yes it was an option. I owned a 70 stage one with this option. The off/on switch is the roof of the radio bezel.

Ok, now I need the switch, great more hard to find parts or does this switch come on other cars?

It would be in the 70 assembly manual and the parts books. At one time Ryan’s GSX had a set up for sale.

I believe the option was "I2" and called 'Forced Air' or 'Forced Ventilation'. There are two dimples on each side of the upper/top/outside cowl where the screws for these blowers would be fastened.

I believe the switch looks the same as the '69 power antenna switch - same location & basically the same housing, just says "On / Off" instead of "DN - Antenna - UP".

I don't have the switch or correct radio bezel with the switch cutout, but I do have pics of an original system. Hope this helps.

I found a power antenna switch that might work but...
    69 -72 Oldsmobile
65-66 corvette has one that maybe has “up-antenna-Dn” facing down when installed on Buick radio bezel.

Thanks for the pictures. The blowers were there along with wiring and plug to the switch but no switch or bezel, kinda strange as radio seems original. I’ll try to find right switch if not I guess I try the alternatives.

Those pictures are the same as the 70 stage 1 that I had.

I tested the blowers and let me tell you they move some air. Switch idea changed as I now believe the antenna switch is a momentary one. Maybe have to use a defrost switch or maybe the Pontiac switch. All the A- cars had this option under different names and of course different switches.

Look up the GM part number for the switch and run it at a dealership. There is a good chance that there is one laying around.

The 70 stage 1 in question had not been started in a long time. It had virtually no trunk pan left, the headliner hung down like a shower curtain, etc. I never tried to start it.

    Cool stuff.

I don't think PV and PA switches would function identically -- don't PA switches return to center after use?

    Correct, PA switches are "momentary"

Exactly -- thank you -- couldn't come up with the word and just posted anyway.

Yeah, I didn't intend to infer that the ANTENNA switch and the 'Forced Air' VENTS switch were interchangeable, just that they looked like each other. I have seen these on (and pulled these switches off of) full sized Buicks, Olds & Pontiac cars back in the day. As I recall, all the cars I remember pulling these parts from had very heavy option loads and a lot of the switches were mounted to the underneath surfaces of the dash bezels or surfaces.
