Once again the buick bash will be held at quaker dragway in salem ohio. We have a full racing event planned and just display area right now for cars on display. We will be running the super 16 class and featuring GSR this year as an add on. GSR will be on friday so any racers can enter the super 16 or any other class on saturday. There will also be brackets classes, possible index classes if i can get a sponsor, turbo v6 specific classes also. There is a high dollar gamblers style race on friday also along with buick vs the world. We are also working on a ladies only class open to all makes and models. We have had alot of sponsors come back on board from last year and new ones rolling in weekly. I will update the sponsor list this week but a huge thank you to all of them and please like the sponsors pages, a phone call, a thank you or anything. Without these sponsors we could not do the event. The buick specific classes are buick powered OR buick bodied. Also the event is open to all makes and models for the other classes so please spread the word as car count and spectator count helps the event and lets us grow to do more days for next year. The track is working with us the best they can and we want to keep this going and expanding. june 18th thursday test and tune, gamblers race 5pm till close june 19th friday racing classes and testing 9am till 5pm 5pm till close is track event we can race also. june 20th saturday racing classes and testing 9am till 11pm I will update the sponsors, classes, which days is what as we get closer. Also if anyone has any suggestions please contact john jr also. This is an event for the buick guys by buick guys.
classes for the event locked in so far. super 16 buick bodied or buick powered buick vs the world shootout 10.49 index 11.49 index GSR ladies only race gamblers race 100 dollar entry shootout race v8 bracket v6 bracket waiting on final sponsors and car counts for turbo v6 specific classes like in b.g. there is racing classes on friday and saturday. you can enter more than one class. we want everyone to have fun and enjoy the event. if anyone has suggestions please message john jr at 914 469 8617 or csordasjr@optonline.net cant thank all the sponsors enough for coming on board. i believe total count is over 31 as of this morning. if anyone wants to sponsor and i didnt reach out to you yet please contact john jr. new flyers are being designed and event shirts to include all early sponsors listed on them. hope to see many of you there. without support these events die fast. we the buick people finally have a track willing to work with us to expand. this year is 2.5 days of full racing. next year i can lock it in at 3.5 days if we show a decent turnout this year so i can justify renting the facility on my own. As anyone knows this is not cheap and we do not pocket anything as we give back to the racers and spectators based on car count and sponsors after the track cost. We paid out alot last year and are expecting to do even better this year for the racers. thank you.
Just to let everyone know that the event is on for June. Please make your plans for the first Buick race of the season. Stay safe & see everyone soon.
Fantastic! Wish I could make it out there, but it's great to see us getting back to normal activities that make sense! Thanks for doing the work John!
Wait Lebanon isn't too good? I've only been to Lebanon and New England Dragway, so I guess I'm uninformed and inexperienced
Norwalk Ohio is one of the top tracks in the country. I'm sure you heard they sell 1 pound of ice cream for a $1! E-town in NJ was pretty good as well till they went out. Bristol TN is nice except for altitude. You have to go west or south to see some nice tracks.
@johnriv67 I grew up a town over from "the valley". Close enough that in the summer you can hear the din of the cars in the Feature. (It's rural so sound travels across the 7 or so miles of the countryside). The biggest risk at the valley is the crowd... not the place... Next time you go, get there early and drive about 5 miles past the Valley on Rt 20 to Nassau NY to S&S Farm Brewery -- it's an old dairy farm that brews fantastic beer!! When it started it would have 20-30 folks outside the old milkhouse -- now it's a huge place.Limited hours so plan ahead...
We will be running the GSR class here for anyone interested....see the rules in the GSCA Events section,...payouts will be very close to what is posted there
Awesome, I had a great time last year and will be there in 2020! I have more parts to sell.......I will post what I am bringing in parts for sale section soon.
