Ahh thank you. I see it’s drilled for both spread and square bore bolt patterns. Will a quadrajet fit on that without any issues?
I’m definitely interested, I’ll get back to you about shipping or me driving to pick it up soon. Has the intake been cut any amount?
If for some reason John passes on this intake I will buy it ! Or if another member has one at this price let me know THANKS !
No, it will not. The bolt patterns are there, but the back throttle blades of the Quadrajet will not have enough clearance.. You can have it machined for clearance, but that will be an added expense. That is why you should always buy the intake with the Q-jet opening, more versatile. You can run both carburetors as I do. This is a picture of Mark Demko's 350 SP3 intake, which he ordered with the Holley opening. He had the back of the opening machined so he could run a Q-jet.
Thanks Larry I was thinking that, and another member suggested that to me too. What do you think the cost to machine would be?
No idea, speak to a machine shop. You could also PM Mark Demko, see what it costs him.. Looks like it needs clearance in front as well.
All that's needed is a drill with a metal grinder. No big deal. But if you don't want it,I do have another guy interested in it.Bruno.
I am still interested. I’m going to call my machine shop Monday and see what they say, cause I will also have to get the flanges decked to fit my heads.
