Bit of trivia: the "batwing" steering wheel was first used by Oldsmobile. Here is a photo of a '69 Cutlass W31.
I have one of these in my 1972 Buick Skylark that is Dark Green and it is in near mint to mint condition. I have always liked the look of both the Buick and Oldsmobile Batwing Steering Wheels.
I also love this design of the Oldsmobile Batwing Steering Wheels that were popular in 1978-1979 Oldsmobile's. I have had several of these on some Oldsmobile's that I have owned in the past.
it's not easy to do when installed on the car. Easy to damage the wheel. With it off the car use something to push from the backside through the splined hole. Once it is removed, you will see that it just has a rubber holding it in place.
So that's how they keep cars from reproducing. When I owned an Opel GT, I used to joke that it's what you get when a Corvette has a baby.
