    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

In the garage today, and took some time out to clean my main toolbox. I got the Craftsman box at 16 when I started wrenching and being the lot kid at the local Ski Doo/Honda/Yamaha/Polaris dealer back home. I got the Mac 35th anniversary Mustang box when I outgrew the Craftsman 2 years later in 1998 at age 18 and moved the Craftsman box to my house. Was so cool having two sets of tools! Thought I was a big deal hahaha....I remember a regular Mac box was $1800 and this Mustang one was $2200. My Mom gave me the extra $400 so I could get the special edition...same box now is around $6000 plain Jane style. This one has a hologram on the top that changes from a 64.5 to a 99 Mustang at different angles. What's holding tools in your garage, shop, or work?

My mom helped me get my first set of tools! She was great at supporting me and my ambitions. :)
You can never have enough tools.... lol

Fun thread. The Snap-On is one of my dad’s first boxes that he gave me a few years back. It’s been through a fire in 1989 and a fire in 2015. Some of the drawers need new rails. Second box was a gift as house/garage warming last year. Yeah... I have a pretty awesome dad.

You guys are way to organized and neat for me to show my boxes. Bought a Cornwell box when I was 18 or so, still have it. Bought a stainless 2-bay Craftsman box which turned out to be a seriously cheaply made problem. Bought a 2-bay Snap-On from my son and a couple of upper boxes over the years. All piled high with crap, bearings, timing sets, random sockets, set of slip joint pliers, drawer liners, etc.

Tools in boxes? I thought they were supposed to be in categorized piles.

Got a used toolbox with used tools in the 80's that went to storage when I moved abroad in about 2006. Took the picture on a visit some years later.

Now stateside and would like it back. Not a lot of tools in it but some sentimental value. The logistics of getting from KS to AZ are an issue so it sits. I hope it is still at my dads place. lol.

Currently using my garage shelving for tools. The only "box" is a shoe box.

Mostly all snap on tools. I started buying them when I worked at my first shop.

My mom also got me started way back in the day with a handheld Craftsman two drawer that I still have:).
