Any chance you could post pics of the fuel lines coming out of the tank and going over to the frame? I'm redoing my '71 fuel system and it would help me do it correctly.
Yes, my '71 does have the 3 vapor lines coming from the tank but, my 3/8" fuel and 1/4" return lines are the same as your 70. Thanks, that helped a lot. But, what is that white "thingy" in the third photo? Is it a fuel filter? Don't both lines coming from the tank go into the frame?
I will look at what I have, I am on my 3rd master cylinder in my 68, the one that was on it 10 years ago, was leaking, so I had a reproduction, and the original lid would not fix. That one started leaking and I rebuilt the original. My 69 one with no bleeders, and is a power brake car, I need to keep one with bleeders to rebuild but if I have another I will let you know. Thanks for the info on the one you purchased, it appears no one makes correct with bleeders.
Adam...the wood grain... For Brett: https://www.ebay.com/itm/69-70-71-C...429991?hash=item2c6dc8b0a7:g:1cUAAOSwQXBaoY4~
Hammer me all you want on the woodgrain, but the font looks good and clear. It fit with just a little trimming. And with it installed in the car, the lack of "realistic" woodgrain appearance will fade. The only section that looks not good is the left side where the headlight and wiper switches are. The other pieces look pretty good, comparing to the original that is in the parts car. It was a toss-up between this new style from CARS, and the ones from Speedway on ebay. I had originally wanted to restore one of the good factory clusters we had, but the cost was going to be over double the repro pieces after my time for painting was factored in. This reproduction is a damn nice piece...and I'll probably never bother with an old used one again. I still have to dab some white paint on the letter for the left side vent.
Do any of those "good factory clusters" happen to be a really nice one w/o woodgrain? I need a very nice one for a GS w/a base bench interior that didn't get the woodgrain so looking for one with nice chrome and nice white lettering.
I think I have one without woodgrain, but the chrome is pretty much gone on it. Both of the other ones I have here are the same way.
All quiet on the homefront right now. I've started the fun task of stainless polishing. I also dyed some of the interior bits. It's been a rough last several days at work, so I'm really lacking in the motivation category when I get home after 5:30pm. Not to mention I've sweat out every drop of water in my body by the time I have a chance to get in the garage. I have a couple big deliveries coming up in the next several weeks...which will hopefully include an engine, transmission, bumpers, and a bunch of other chromed parts.
