I’ve bought hardtop ones several times...wasn’t sure if the same place would be the one for convertible sweeps
I'm working on this now Adam. I just finished a lot of research on it. I just ordered a set from CARS a few days ago. I'm only going to do the inner rears for now, I think. My car has a Legendary interior, it was done when I bought it. The rear upper panels have plastic uppers and assembled by Legendary. They were poorly assembled, I just got some original upper rails and I'm re-doing them. The consensus on here (like Nelson) is to go PUI or repops (TWE). Coupes are way different than 'verts. You still may need to back cut the rr outers in one place, maybe. Nelson said that Chevelle is the same. Obviously, you want a round bead and hopefully bent ends at the latch end of the door. the fronts would be the same coupe or 'vert. The backs are a different story. Some rears come with felt to cover the rubbing blocks on the rr qtr piece(s) that always scratch the windows. Prices for sets run from $90. up to 290.
I ended up going with the CARS ones...had to drill the rear hole for the quarter piece, but all the other ones screwed right on. There is a little bit of rubber "flashing" on the door piece that pretty much just rubs right off. I guess this is as good as it gets. No complaints, really.
The rubber scraper is narrow on all the reproductions. Both of these are usable PUI or repops (TWE), Dave and I both like the TWE. On the coupe they need to be cut several times to get a really nice fit on the quarter. My GSX had some on it that fit like crap, I do not know the brand. I could not stand it so I replaced them, you can see the bad fit in the one picture and then the one that I replaced. I do not remember which one has the bent end at the door end but I believe you could correct that problem also. I would rather get a better fit than worry about the bent end. .
