Those wheels are worth the trip to the right 67 fan too. Hell of a parts car. That doesn't happen in this day much anymore.
Curious (Idk squat about '67's) where you see that it has rear def.? Switch on the dash? Clock too (prob. not rare per se but optional & they didn't list that or the rear def. in the ad.). Definitely a pretty loaded car.
The only time you see a switch mounted in the "Accessory" spot that is normally vacant, is a rear defroster switch for cars with tin roofs or for a convertible top switch. It also makes for a stealthy location for nitrous, exhaust cutouts or what have you.
I think it is called outside forever in a heavy humid world. Here in Colorado we don't know 97-100 percent humidity every single day.
I have the car about 95% disassembled now. I bought it solely for the cruise control guts in the transmission--been looking for that stuff for 20 years to complete the system to put on my 66! As for the rest of the car, the engine is locked up solid. Had a couple gallons of antifreeze in the oil pan when I pulled the drain plug. Plan is to have the remains on the trailer by end of the week to haul to the scrap yard. The shell is definitely scrap--not a good piece of sheetmetal on it. Only body parts that are good are the hood and core support. Will be listing the parts in the parts for sale section as I get them ready. The disc brake setup and wheels were already spoken for by a friend before I even went to get the car. A couple of questions for opinions before I haul the remains off, is there any demand for the non-boxed frame like is under this car? I don't want to go thru the hassle of trying to get the rusty body loose from it to save it if no one is going to want it. Frame is solid, but rusty on surface. Has remains of a homemade trailer hitch welded to it that would have to be cut/ground off smooth. Also, is there any demand for the factory fender skirts, or should I haul them to the scrap yard too? They are in perfect condition--were laying in the trunk when I got it.
Oh, and BTW, the car did originally have an AM/FM. It still had the factory solid wire FM antenna on it. Another rare item I will be selling! The AM/FM must have died at some point because the car had a 66 AM radio in it (distinguishable by the different style push-buttons on a 66 compared to 67)
I'd be interested in the AM/FM antenna depending on condition and price. Based on the other options it's not surprising to hear that the car did originally have an AM/FM in it. Considering all of the other options that the car has, does it have a posi? Good luck getting your cruise control working.
67 frames are tuff to get..1 year application..its equipped to accept a 400 turbo and the rear spring pockets are diff too...last one had was mint out of a colorado car and i sold it for 1200 bux...
Brian, good to hear you found the last pieces for your Cruise conversion! I could use some sheetmetal repair pieces from the 67 before you haul it away. I just sent you a PM.
Hi Brian, I am interested in the grommet that the a/c vacuum lines come out of. Is it serviceable and will you sell it?
Is the steering column available? I see the brakes and wheels are going to your friend. Let me know. Thank you.
