OK, embarassed once again...I can’t remember the order to torque my mains, and how to set the thrust bearing, and I can’t find my old manual I used to use that told me all this. The internet is USELESS.
I start from the center main and work outward. Take a good hammer and give it a rap both directions. Then check thrust clearance with a dial indicator..006-.008.
Hi Ramin, I torque from center out, don't know if thats the accepted way but thats the way I do it,be incremental in amount of torque each time. Setting thrust:Torque #2 and 5 to 60 lb-ft, the others finger tight, grab a large screw drive and push from side to side against a crank flange at #2,this pushes the crank against the thrust one way then the other ,keep doing it till you hear a clunk, then insert the screw driver in the front of the #2 cap pushing the crank forward and torque the thrust cap to 60lb-ft ,do same to #1 and 4, measure end play, .004" to .007" is what I normally see.Now torque all caps to 110lb-ft in increments. Someone else may do differently, but this has worked for me,good luck.
