I have a FAST dual a/f . You only need one bung, single gage. Both sides basically read the same, within a couple tenths.
What size nozzle are you running? Real easy to swap out. I'm going to order a nozzle, and a few jets tonight. Possibly the 50cc pump kit as well
I think 37's. Get a small generic jet kit, a couple size or two larger squirters. Get the 50cc pump off feebay, that will have a couple of cams,, they all work. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Holley-Car...-/382249000687?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
It's nice to have a carb that responds well to changes. I went from a .031 squirter to a .037 on the primary side. I noticed a nice difference. Then i went up from .031 to a .035 on the secondaries. Not sure if this was as noticeable. I leaned out the primary side by going down 4 jet sizes. This made a huge difference. No more popping noise down in the headers. Acceleration at all speeds drastically improved. Manually shifting to 2nd gear I can cruise from 20mph to 80 very quickly. (Something is definitely inconsistent with my kickdown cable. But I can address that later.) I then leaned out the secondaries 3 sizes down. This was probably too much. The plugs are back to looking a little lean but it's going to be 30 to 50 degrees warmer most of the time I drive this. A/f mixing screws seem to respond better to changes now. My 50cc pump is on back order but i have more optimism now then ever. Car is good enough that I will probably do a 50 mile cruise tomorrow with it. It's still very unstable when I mash it from a dead stop but a 50cc pump and the right cam should cure it.
I think I probably went a little too lean with it. Might go up a size tomorrow on the primaries. Will do the 50 mile round trip first and check plugs when I get back.
I for got about this No I did not use a 50cc pump just the 30 that came with the carb and it was just fine for many years and was always great off the line. I just recently put the 50 on when I put this intake on still got to work on it not as happy with it as I would like to be. My last sentence is not correct. As I write this you know I think the rear secondary pump came factory with a 50 cc pump since I know the pump diaphragm replacements are bigger in the back than front I have that complete kit. I think it was the pump cam I changed to give the full shot of the pump. I used to have the same on the front as the back and on the # 2 hole. Yes the secondary shot was not using the full shot of the bigger pump that was on the back then I changed the cam to go all the way. it's been a while since I messed with the carb.
I I might try your plugs my j strap looks too light colored. I'm using stock replacement ngk v power ur4. I have more compression and ignition timing then a stock 350...should I get different plugs?
should really only go 2 jet size change at a time then test do primaries for your cruising then do the secondaries for the power.
I think the right cam could go a long way with tuning my car. I'll try the cam that comes with the kit first to see what it does with the 30cc pump. Does the 50cc pump allow more fuel on each shot by lengthening the duration? Or is that all in the cam?
