Hi.. Just sold my Electra, and now looking for a Sedanette.. I like the 49' best but not written in stone.. Chevrolet Fleetline, Pontiac Streamliner, Caddilac Sedanette and Oldsmobile would also work.. Just looking for that bodystyle.. Anyone have something for sale, or any leads? Thanks. Houmark
Chris sent me that one as well.. The interior looks cheap, and there's no headliner as far as I can see.. We have strict rules here, so a 454" and discs all way round may be hard to hide..
Not my best camera work but his car spent it's whole life in California until being relocated to Michigan. On a rack as new brakes, Kanter front end etc are being installed. Was repainted on the west coast long ago, only rust I recall is pictured here as well. I believe 18,500 sells it. Steve
I would stick with the Buick or Caddy. One of my all time favorite body styles. The pricing on these can be similar but what you get for your money can be from one extreme to the other. Unless you are in a hurry, I would wait for the right one then go for it.
I noticed.. Before I sold my Electra, there were a couple of nice cars, built the way I like for $20-25k, but now when I'm looking everybody wants $30-35k for cars in worse condition.. I'll wait until the right one comes up.. Now I'm ready to jump the gun, with cash in hand..
Thanks for replying.. The car is in my opinion a little pricy for the condition it's in.. It will take to much to get the way I want..
Yea, I was just about to update the post better I guessed high than low. Seller says 14k buys it. It's a lot better than my pictures would indicate - front end is now completely rebuilt bushings/brakes etc. No worries either way, not my car just posting a lead. Regards,
That green Super is not too bad for 14k. Not for nothing, it has it's rear fender spears (at least I can see the right one), which are unobtanium and when available are ~$800-900 per side.
It was primarily the color and the rust that made my opinion.. Can you post some more pictures, and a little info? Stock everything?

Thank you Lucas.. The auction on the Caddilac ends tonight, it has cooler body lines and is original a V8 auto car, where I may get in trouble swapping the Fleetline.. The Fleetline apears to be Better shape..
Well, somebody went ahead and bid $15k on the Caddilac.. Over $2500 more than last bid, so I guess he wants it.. I'll go ahead and phone the owner of the Fleetline Lucas posted.. Anyone near columbus, OH?
I'm planning on shoving a V8 in the Fleetline at some point, so it's okay.. Have you seen all the pictures of the Caddy? There's rust round the windows, which creapes me out a little bit..

I'm finding a lot of them (like 40 probably), but it's tough to know which ones to share because I don't know for sure what you can get past your inspections or not. https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1433163/1949-oldsmobile-88-for-sale-in-cadillac-michigan-49601 https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1393540/1949-chevrolet-deluxe-for-sale-in-sherman-texas-75092 https://classiccars.com/listings/vi...line-for-sale-in-downers-grove-illinois-60515 https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1115757/1949-oldsmobile-98-for-sale-in-cadillac-michigan-49601 https://classiccars.com/listings/vi...et-fleetline-for-sale-in-lancaster-ohio-43130 https://classiccars.com/listings/vi...bile-88-for-sale-in-jefferson-wisconsin-53549
I've seen most of them.. I've come to the terms that I have to wiggle the car through inspection, so the front clip/rear swap etc will be okay, but air ride and full frame swap is not.. $30.000 is more than I like to spend on a car, that I need to import and tax. $20-22k is more like my budget.. Seen a couple mild customs go for that, while not ready to jump.. The Fleetline you linked to, looks to be in good shape, I could modify that one myself at the asking price..
Did you screen the offers in Europe, probably yes but sharing anyhow. Interesting to see that even here you can find some of these post war Sedanettes https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/...searchId=63bf0d86-1c5d-c93d-7926-1be03566bdd8 Black, nice, more than ur budget....
