I like muscle cars and I like police cars. Since I bought a 3D printer last year, I thought I would attempt to use it to make the spot lights, emergency lights, etc that I needed to turn a muscle car into a police car. I also used my ink jet printer to make the decals. This is my first attempt at modeling, so I don't think it turned out too bad. I learned a lot from this one to use on future models. There is some factual basis in this model. The sheriff of Catoosa County, GA, actually used Trans Ams for patrol cars in '78 and '79. https://code3garage.com/catoosa-county-sheriff-pontiac-trans-am/
That’s awesome! My boys are 4 and 6 and they love all the smoky and bandit type movies. I’m currently looking for some old police cars for them to play with. If you are interested maybe we could setup a deal to buy done lights and decals from you once I find suitable cars to use them on.
...nice work, did something like that in my slot car days when no serious racing happening, Ford body on a big rewound Mabuchi chassis, bubble gum machine on roof, MD state police colors, and stopped under figure-8 overpass to wait for unsuspecting drivers...
