Papa Roger, we have similar setups, in a way 78 century. 462 stage 2 heads, Sp1 intake, 212 cam, VP 400 transmission, 389 ford rear on 275/60/15.' Holley sniper efi . Moroso drag springs, 90/10 and 50/50 competition springs. HBR lift bar. Boxed upper lower control arms
Rus that is soooo sweet ! Major street sleeper. I can’t get away with it I’m to loud and in a small town too well known lol Roger
Can’t say enough about a good rear suspension. With only boxed upper and lower control arms and stock springs and shocks I couldn’t control my Regal it was down right scary and dangerous punching it at any speed. The progressive turbo springs and Bilstein shocks made a difference but still scary, didn’t get it under control until I put the Hellwig drag radius bar on the differential and set the proper preload. I can handle the car now with minor amount of fighting the wheel but still leave for a run from idle and it hooks like crazy and pulls like a freight train each shift puts you back in the seat farther. Tons of fun ! Those side pipes are an awesome touch ! I have a complete 3” exhaust front to back with turn downs at the rear wheel. Engine noise reverberates of the road and makes for some beautiful sounds. People in town hear me coming a ways off and know who it is. Roger On The Eighth Day God Created Buick
Those side pipes are three inch as well lol I bet your neighbors must not like you lol mine hate me that car gets parked between two wall. Lmao
My neighbors don’t live close enough to me to get the real effect of my pipes but driving down the center of town with the buildings on top of one another on a narrow street is fun cause it shakes the windows lol and at Clyde’s our local drive in eatery it gets everyone to stop eating and look till I shut it off lol. Call me crazy but even at 74 I can’t get enough of that sound !
I haven’t had much to show. Just quietly collecting parts for my 350 powered Regal. My son and his buddy are interested in cars, so I put them to work last weekend.
I really like seeing young kids getting interested in becoming gear heads and wrenching on old muscle cars Without them we are a dying breed. Today’s performance cars can be bought too easy and the younger people have no idea how they work, it takes all the fun out of it. Good job letting them put their little fingers on it…..the bug will get them for sure.
Hey if anyones in New York we should go blow up some parking lots. And then the makeshift dragstrip on long island.
Haha wtf does "not v8-y" enough even mean? Quite the difference between a 4-6-8-12-16. Some people...stick with it budday.
I agree. Keep posting your progress and enjoying your ride. There is always someone who has something to say about any car. Mine is so criticized but instead of quitting, I bought another one.
