I know my '70 GSX had carpeted kick panels. I do not know what is correct for my '71, but thought I knew. I thought '71 did not have carpet on the kick panels. Can someone please inform me? While we are here, how about the '72's as well? Troy
As we talked about last week (great to talk to you!), my '70 (extra-cost interior) has it & my '71 05C w/extra cost interior) doesn't.
That sucks - And no way to defend the deductions at the time. I'm sure judges don't want to get into it on the spot there and it's a thankless job, but... Couple points could be the difference between one award & the next.
No carpets ever on a 71. I have worked on dozens in junkyards and only saw them on 70 upper level cars. I can’t speak on 69 and earlier.
None of the base models had kick panel carpets. As a matter of fact no GM A-bodies except for 68-70 Buick’s with the Custom/Deluxe interiors had them. There were also 2 different types, 1 for AC cars and 1 for non-AC cars. Duane
I think the answer is no but I’m going to ask anyway: Does anyone have a set of carpeted A/C kick panels in black for my 70 GS455? Mine have speaker holes in them and I’m not interested in putting speakers in there.
I know that Legendary makes them. All they need to know is the color and if your car is AC or non-AC. Duane
Yes they do! https://www.legendaryautointeriors.com/product/68-72-gm-a-body-kick-panel-carpet-w-air-black/ Thanks Duane!!
