Shout out to thos guy,...he is by far one of the best in regards to customer service,..b4,..during and after,...if you fellas are having performance carb issues,..Dan WILL fix it,...sent him a fresh Pro System paper weight,....bored it out to 1.75 blades,...polished,...built,..tested,..and sent it back with in 1 week,.... https://davinci-performance-carburetors.business.site/ That number on the site is his personal cell,....who else does that??
The Pro systems wouldn't idle,...run,...or start,...bolted it on once back from Dan,...filled the bowls via the pump,..two full pumps of fuel,...idled clean and consistent within a min,...hot start is flawless,..just turn the key,...part throttle cruise,..perfect,...throtttle response perfectly clean and crisp,.....
Good to hear a positive review. I've got a Dominator that I had converted to E85 years ago but that car will soon have the compression dropped from 13:1 to 10.5:1 so I'm also going back to regular pump gas. I'm trying to decide if I should just start over with a different carb or have someone convert it back to gas. So I'm curious, what is this carb bolted to?
That's good to hear. Heard a lot of good things about him over the years. Not trying to start anything but what was going on w the Pro Systems carb? Ours was spot on out of the box and usually Patrick has a good rep. What car is this going on Ethan?
I had a few issues with my 4150 prosystems carb, but after a few phone calls we got it. I have a holley 1050 3 circuit now. It idles great, runs good on the track, but driving around the pits it sounds very slobbery, if I pull the intermediate air bleeds complete it helps. But common since says it can't be run that way. What get they get for going through it if you don't mind me asking ethan
Nice! Only CSU (Holley blow through boost carbs) gives a cell Number with their carbs. Also great customer service.
Yes CSU is very good as well. I sold ours to a buddy when we decided to go efi but they are top of the list for blow through.
Ben I'll pm you,... I've never had a holley I couldn't figure out ,..ever,..but this thing was fresh never ran,...was DUMPING fuel,..like it didn't have seats,..they looked perfect,...put new ones in anyway,..dropped bowl level,...messed with low speed bleeds,...idle mix would resond one min them not the next,...emailed Patrick and admittedly I was pretty sharp about it,...and he offered to to go back thru it,..but if said it was tested and idled great etc,...so I'm like I'm not shipping this thing back and forth,..so reached out to Dan,....problem solved,...very professional but did tell me how many Pro systems carbs were on his bench at that moment,....
Got lots of little things to do yet ...manual brake swap,..wiring clean up,..GW front suspension ...has full HR rear suspension,..342 gear tho,...but should be around 740hp after the SPX and larger carb bores,..made 698 with a 750HP dyno carb,..but feels like I'm hauling a 16ft dump trailer of gravel haha,...so hopefully Lenny can nail the verter and get it movin
That's a low 10 second car if everything goes right and you throw enough gear at it. If it has any fiberglass maybe even tickle 9s. I like it!
It definitely has potential but it's my brother's car,..just a street "550hp" build that got out of hand ha,...so we just gonna leave the gear in it for now,..he actually wants me to do a LSA swap with a 10speed when he graduates,...then I'll be using this one to its potential!!
I wondered about that,...I asked for Lenny and he didn't mention he had retired,..but Montgomery has very good people skills I'll give him that
Actually gonna be using one of Gary Paines used converters. Looking forward to pushing this thing down the track in May
Gary raves about the guy that does them. I have an ultimate, Lenny has had it back 3 times, it flashes spot on but still feels loose on topend.......I hope to get a data system with drive shaft speed so I can actually figure out too end slip. The way the math works now it comes out like 12%, I would 10 or even 8 would be more acceptable.
