Tabs often get snapped off. Backyard mechanics fail to reinstall. Gets tossed in the trunk then pitched later...I have a couple usable ones. John
The same part was missing on my old 72, but running flex hose in its place will accomplish the same result. Just zip tie it up out of the way after installation. Just to clarify, I did not do this to my car. It was that way when I received it, so I cannot take credit for the solution.
FWIW the after market plastic duct/hose they sell for connecting both ends of these make for easy install..
That is what I used to connect all of the plastic ducts and dash vents in my car, and you are right about that!
I'm pretty sure I got mine from OPG. Measure the diameter of your duct connectors first. On my 69, all the connections were 2 3/4" and the 6-foot piece was more than long enough to replace all of the deteriorated factory hoses. https://www.opgi.com/fittings-hoses...gm-vehicles-heater-ac-2-34-vinyl-l240999.html
Do you still have the ducts available? looking for under column duct. DO you happen to know the diameter of each end?
