Did a search on TWI, nothing come up. ones on the car are to long and poorly finished at the ends tearing up my clothes, want to fix this before it get to my skin.
I bought a set of TWI and they were terrible and did not fit quarters (made in Taiwan) and overall quality sucked. Purchased from Tamraz. I bought a set of repops and were a much better fit. They do come with staples for door panels, screws for doors and new felts for window guides. Ends not turned down . Not perfect but better quality and made in U.S.A.
These are the ones I used back in 2002, I'm guessing the end of the door seal should have a downturn, mine does not. Can't say I ever had it catch my clothing though, never noticed it.
It's strange for the company to have a Buick type part number if the same was used on the Chevelle and maybe other "A" body cars from 70-72.
Good luck getting what you want... I placed a order though a retailer for a set my 67 way back in April of last year from repops ....... They Repops is still waiting for the supply ship to come in..... I blame that on Larry.
BTW Larry, you are truly Buick, I remember the shirt your wearing, (see it in the reflection of your glass) LOL!!
You may get yours faster... The ones for my car are the optional ones Buick Pontiac only and only about smaller % of the cars bought the option...
Those are the GSCA Gus sweat shirts. Got them from the Chicago guys at the Nats last year. Streets were clear enough with temps in the 50's. Took the car out for a nice cruise mid day.
I got mine from motorcityclassicautoparts on eBay. Ordered 12/29 and received 2/16. Yes made to order. $167 shipped and it’s the same part number that Larry had in his post.
Well what do you all think, "Repops"? I'm looking for the best fit and finish, or is that option not realistic?
I spoke to someone last year at YearOne about the correct ones for the Buicks and he said that they're different than the Chevelles. I said I wasn't too picky about the shape of the bead, but he told me all the differences and he seemed to be very knowledgeable about them. He ordered the correct ones back in June of last year, still waiting. TW7022C is the part number.
Do you ask about the ends, the ones I've seen look like the ends were cut with wire cuters. Looking for a set with finished ends like GM did it. Still can not understand the difference from Chevelle, AL.
What I recall is one has a "D" shaped bead as opposed to the round bead, I did not know of the *90 ends.
