Go ahead and call Joe. I did. He hollered at me about my complaints with the bezel as well as the REM woodgrain kit. I had to hang up on him.
I will be looking into a place to get own plastic dash parts restored, I would like to have a list of all who are interested in having restoration work in the real near future.
Dave, I vaguely remember "Just Dashes" charging something like $600-700 to re-plate a 69 Dash Cluster and mask/paint it. Duane
I distinctly remember it being more than that a few months back, on a 69 bezel with no damage. I suppose I could look it up somehow, but it would bring back painful memories. I'm thinking $800 to $900 shipped. Still, beautifully done.
I have many a lot of contacts and found a good one! How many of you would like to have there dash restoration at a reasonable price?
I did my '69 myself. Rattle can acrylic in silver & black, and chrome modelling foil for the chrome beading. The foil is not very durable however.
Just Dashes sent them out. Anything vacuum plated then painted. Just Dashes just marked them up. The guy who they sent them to is still doing them. If anyone wants the info PM me. Marc.
The company I sent mine to had to add the black sections because they went off the reproduction part. Tim forwarded me great pictures and they are correcting the places to add paint. Gauge Bezel $320.00 1 GMR451D Buick Skylark 1968-72 Radio Face Cover $72.00 1 GMR47D Buick Skylark 1968-72 Steering Column Cover $68.00
Okay! Here is what's going on, I got a call from the shop on the dash cluster and looks to have it right. I will post pictures on this when I get it Friday, stay tuned!
Thought I would have it Friday, delay with FedEx, should see it tomorrow and will post pictures. The company was interested in getting it right, talk to any members on the board about my standards, stay tuned!
