I just received and email about the 2022 BOPC show in Auburndale, FL on October 22, 2022. I went to this show in 2021 with Waterboy and Briz and had a great time. Just thought I would put it out there for anyone else interested in going this year. Here is the link and flyer: https://www.oldsmobileclub.org/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=1610328&group=190049
I didn't count last year, nor can remember what they said, but I would estimate 70-90. Briz may remember better than me.
I was there in 2020 and it was a great show in a nice shady park and a great mix of Buicks, Olds, and Pontiacs. I'd estimate 100 cars.
I haven't missed this show since 1992. They had the best turnout last year since they left Old Town, I think it was close to 200 cars.
There was over 70 Buicks alone. Total car count around 200. If you look at the T shirt in the photo on the flyer ... My Riv is featured. Its a honor as they traditionally only pick factory stock restored cars as "Best Of" at that show
count me in also, it's on the wife's calendar too. Don't book me nothing that day I told her, I got beer drinking buddies to be with! Fernando
Rich, there probably be about 4 of us cruising together. I have a few Oldsmobile friends and Pontiacs buddies in my neck of the woods. Going to be fun! To me the best part of a car show is the cruise there and back. Fernando
The Riv is still OOO from that trip. Hope to have it up and running by then. If not I'll take the Wildcat
I recently purchased a set of ported aluminum heads from Thumper. Tired of waiting to get the irons fixed. Still hoping it all comes together in time.
Guys, I'm just now seeing this.... I'm pretty sure I can be there at the very least in person. If I bring my Buick, I'd like to cruise with the rest of you..... don't laugh but this would be the longest road trip I've had her on.... she's been a neighborhood cruiser. Fernando, do you have a meeting place in mind for your group? I could likely meet you all there. Thanks!
One of the guys talked about meeting at the Cracker Barrel on CR579 & I-4 right by Lazy Days RV Sales, Will keep you up to date as time gets closer. So far we have 6 of us plus you. Cruising is the best part of the event! Fernando
I agree, the cruise is the best part. I went to a car show with Smartin in St. Louis about 6 years ago and we both rode our GS's on the highway up there... it was a sight to see...a lot of fun too.
I'm pretty sure I'll be there to cruise with you guys this year. Missed last year but really enjoyed 2020. The Green Machine has her new motor and is ready to rock.
