So what is the original color? Is it Sunburst Yellow? Bummer that the car isn’t what the seller advertised “100% original.” So he had zero documentation to prove that it was a GSX? That is so strange since documentation for a ‘72 Buick is easy to obtain from Sloan Museum and/or Vintage Vehicle Services (formerly GM of Canada). Why would any seller ask $75k for a car these days and just expect the buyer to take his word? If he had an honest ad stating the the original engine and trans are gone and some documentation proving the car is a legit GSX the car may have already sold by now.
It’s Cortez gold, my phone makes it look different. I’ll be checking the vin with Sloan or vintage vehicle?
It’s very nice and can’t stop thinking about it, Once I find out if it’s a real X I may make an offer but I’m not driving back out there. His wife was firm on their number so I never countered, she needs a reality check.
Wow it’s almost like a reverse of the typical guy that overprices so it’s doesn’t sell. Heck if my wife ensured I never lost $ on a deal I would still have 40 cars and trucks lol
So I bought the car, heading to get it in a couple weeks, kicking my ass for not bringing it home. There’s supposed to be 2 other 72 x’s in New Brunswick.
Thanks Randy, if time permits I will stop by, I’m hoping to get a buddy to go with me so we can get there quicker and be home for thanksgiving. FYI, the fellow I bought the car from ordered the the car in sunburst yellow, then went home and thought about it , the next day went back to the dealership and told them he wanted Cortez gold. The dealer never pulled the order from the previous day so both cars showed up within a week of each other. According to Sloan, only 2 cars had the notchback bench in 72 gsx which this car has, so both of those cars had to have gone to New Brunswick.
Awesome. There are so few of the ‘72 GSXs accounted for that I wonder if this one is already included in the GSX registry or will it be a new addition?
Congrats Gord. Post the GM of Canada or Sloan Documentation, would like to see factory option load of this car?
Congratulations Gord!! Welcome to the very small club. I'm very happy you bought it. Any info on the Sunburst one? LOL. I have a 72 Stage 1 I'm going to make a GSX clone from it but the real deal would be the one off my bucket list........
if I can find the other ones I may eBay the information to the highest bidder lol…I think I’ve pushed my luck with my wife and guessing it’s really my last one as My sets now complete.
