Alright folks... there is an outside chance that I may not make the show, and an even greater chance that the GS400 won't be there. My son's mom is in the hospital with heart issues and if he is here with me, I cannot work on the car and definitely not go to the show. I am picking him up tomorrow, as her boyfriend has to work (he is really good with him). For those that don't know, my son is a 22-year old Autistic adult that is pretty far into the spectrum. I'll keep y'all posted.
Good grief, Rich, I just saw this. Yes, do what you have to do because that is what counts. Family always comes first! Is there anything any of us need to know? Are the arrangements made with the diner? Let me know if I need to pick up any slack on this end. I hope everything goes good for you buddy.
I was going to post this before I saw Rich’s post, so I thought I would talk to him first. I can’t wait for Friday and I can’t wait for this weekend! I finally have my exhaust manifolds totally silenced. It will be an excellent cruise not hearing that tap tap tap that I’ve heard for 5 years. The weather is looking to be great, the people are always awesome, and it’s gonna be a fun time!
I was talking with Rich just a little while ago. I have the phone number to the diner and I will call them tomorrow and let them know how many people we have. Everything is good.
Hey Steve, Alex and I along with our families will be at my buddies house like last year. You are welcome to come on by if you wish.
Alright my friends, looks like I'm going to make it to the show. I'll most likely be in the Suburban though. If I'm the first one to WalMart parking lot, here is what it looks like:
Rich that looks like many of the Suburbans in Florida. Fly a Buick flag on that thang. Glad you could make it. Have fun for those that can't make it, like me.
If I had a Buick flag I most certainly would, and I will have fun. I'll take some pictures and post em up. Thanks John!
I have a Buick flag! I will bring it. It’s on a PVC pole. I’ll bring my screw gun to screw it into a local tree nearby.
Whoa, I thought I lost my mind. I went into my garage looking for the Buick flag. First I found a Trump 2016 flag, then I found a Dale Earnhardt Junior flag, then I found a Trump 2020 flag, then I found a Dale Senior flag, then I found a Trump 2024 flag, and then I finally found the Buick flag. We’re good!
My son and I want the long-distance award. I think we’re driving a little over 175 miles to get there. It’s going to be a very nice drive. Our gas stingy Skylark‘s usually get 19.3 miles per gallon on state highways.
Rich, If ya dont wanna stand out and have people point and lear at you for driving a chebby to the show you can ride in with me. Think I got ya beat on the milage. Mapquest shows it to be just under 200 miles
