I didn't expect the judges to go over my sheet at MCACN the first year I went, it was VERY appreciated. I had a conversation this weekend with someone who judges and the comment was made about the "going over the score sheet". I am humbled by the guys who take their own time out of a show to judge these cars so in no way would I want to see them have to spend more time. I just was wondering the difference in the two shows.
From time to time we also were requested to pre-judge a car. Many guys do not want us to look at their cars before the event, but there were some that wanted to know. They would make up a list as we went around the car. This would give them a few days to “fix” some things so they would get a better score at the event. Duane
I think the difference is this. At the GSCA some of the judges are also the ones that fill out all the sheets, do all the paperwork, and put the awards together. At other shows they have different people doing all the paperwork etc. This would make a big difference with how much time the judges have to spend with the people. Duane
