for 55k, i would expect a correct carb fuel line, not a backyard job. incorrect hose clamps too. but i love 67's
Actually, that is the original line that the PO cut Not a backyard job. I do have a new replacement but since I just spent a bunch of money having the Carb concourse restored I thought it might be a good idea to run the filter for a little while. Since it was already done to run the holley that was on there I left it. I should have done the radiator clamps when I installed the NOS water shut-off but it was just too cold to do more than what was necessary. When I get time I will change them.
i've seen the older cars for over 300k advertised as high quality restorations with modern hose clamps and home made fuel lines. it didn't come that way. 99% of 53 restored skylarks are always missing one part. i've told the owners that, but not telling what it is.
Come on man, not only is nick picking a guy’s car in his “for sale” ad poor taste, it’s also against the board rules. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/attention-change-in-policy-for-classified-section.55298/
Thanks Gary. Just being too picky, I had plans of doing a body off. Blasting the frame and bottom of the car. I went as far as ordering all stainless lines, picked up disc brake setup and was going to install all new shiny exhaust. The guy that was doing my blasting went out of business so that put an end to that. Bummed so now the car is for sale. I have a decent offer from a dealer so that is where it will probably go.
Thank you George. I hate to see it go but my plans for it went down the toilet. . I have about a $1000 worth of stainless lines that I purchased for it.
